Benjamin Mendoza, a fourth grade student from Scenic Heights Elementary, is raising awareness, money and supplies for Ukrainian refugees using his love of basketball. So far, more than $4,000 has been raised, and more than 25 basketball players are participating in the cause.

This past July, Scenic Heights teacher Amy Altenburg organized a team from the Minnetonka community and beyond to help turn a space in the school forest into a hammock park for students to enjoy once the school year begins.
Each year, the Minnetonka School Board sets goals for the school district. The Board’s goals for 2021-22 for Minnetonka Public Schools have focused on maximizing opportunities and ensuring excellence for students academically, socially and emotionally.
